Presidential power and the power to vote.
Presidential power and the power to vote. In the current state of affairs, I believe that the President has become too powerful of a position if the man/woman in office is not experienced enough to make good decisions for our country. In the past, the President's power over our country has been held well by well selected candidates. However, the recent selection has been of poor quality compared to other elections of the past. Because of this we have a president in office that is incapable of handling the power we have given him. As an example we can look at our current President, George Bush.George Bush is incapable of even understanding simple words and yet we elected him. In his first term he made many mistakes and it was obvious he was being influenced incorrectly by other people. Also he doesn't understand what he's talking about most of the time and makes bad decisions. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (novel)A good example of his abuse of power was declaring war on a country that has no effect on our country and di sregarding the UN. Although this whole situation can not be blamed solely on him, it does show a lack of judgment on the government as a whole. If the people of our country are better educated on politics and of the power of there vote, the higher of a chance we will have President who can handle his power. Let alone we might have more people running for presidency who are more for the people and less for them self. I personally believe that the power of the President is well set. I also think it's up to the people to make sure we elect a person who is capable to handle the powers set upon him. We should try to influence more people to take the initiative...

5 Presidential Words and Phrases for Presidentsââ¬â¢ Day
5 Presidential Words and Phrases for Presidentsââ¬â¢ Day 5 Presidential Words and Phrases for Presidentsââ¬â¢ Day Some presidents have their faces carved into mountains. Others appear on our money. But some presidents have also left a mark on the English language. So to mark Presidentsââ¬â¢ Day this year, weââ¬â¢re taking a look at some interesting words and phrases popularized by US presidents. 1. Washingtonââ¬â¢s Administration George Washington: Anything but average. George Washington was the first President of the United States. It is thus appropriate that he was also the first person to use ââ¬Å"administrationâ⬠to refer to a presidentââ¬â¢s time in office. Washington is, in fact, cited as the first person to use of a number of words, including common terms such as ââ¬Å"indoorsâ⬠and ââ¬Å"average.â⬠However, this is partly because Washingtonââ¬â¢s diaries have been preserved while other documents from the time have been lost. As such, ââ¬Å"indoorsâ⬠and ââ¬Å"averageâ⬠were probably in common use even before Washington wrote them down. 2. Hardingââ¬â¢s Founding Fathers The term ââ¬Å"Founding Fathersâ⬠is now commonly used to refer to the men involved in founding the United States, including those who drafted and signed the Declaration of Independence. But this phrase only caught on when Warren G. Harding used it in a speech in 1918. To be exact, in a speech to The Sons and Daughters of the Revolution in Washington, DC, Harding said: ââ¬Å"It is good to meet and drink at the fountains of wisdom inherited from the founding fathers of the Republic.â⬠- Address on Washingtonââ¬â¢s Birthday (1918). Harding also used the phrase in a speech when he was officially notified of his nomination for the presidency. And since then it has become a common part of our language. 3. FDRââ¬â¢s ââ¬Å"Iffyâ⬠Language The ever iffy FDR. Even today, ââ¬Å"iffyâ⬠is not an especially statesmanlike word. So it must have sounded very strange when Franklin D. Roosevelt invented it in the 1930s. In particular, he enjoyed using it at press briefings, where he would dismiss hypothetical queries he did not like as ââ¬Å"iffyâ⬠questions (i.e., questions that depend on an ââ¬Å"ifâ⬠scenario rather than current facts). 4. Lincoln Sugarcoats a Message to Congress Abraham Lincoln was not the first person to use the term ââ¬Å"sugarcoatâ⬠to mean ââ¬Å"make something superficially attractive.â⬠It was, in fact, a common colloquialism before he got to it. But this term may have been too common for John Defrees, the man in charge of public printing at the time, who described its use in a message to congress as ââ¬Å"undignified.â⬠Abe was not put off, though, replying to Defrees that the controversial word ââ¬Å"expresses precisely my idea, and I am not going to change it. The time will never come in this country when the people wonââ¬â¢t know exactly what sugar-coated means!â⬠And so far, at least, Lincoln was right. 5. George Bush Jrââ¬â¢s Linguistic Creativity Finally, we end with a president not widely celebrated for his linguistic achievements: George W. Bush. But Bush Jrââ¬â¢s habit of misspeaking gave rise to entirely new words, such as ââ¬Å"misunderestimate,â⬠meaning to underestimate by mistake. And who are we to say that he is wrong? It may only be a matter of time before ââ¬Å"misunderstimateâ⬠enters the dictionary. That said, weââ¬â¢re still confused by what he meant when he said ââ¬Å"I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully.â⬠So perhaps we shouldnââ¬â¢t get carried away with our Bushisms quite yetâ⬠¦ Dont misunderestimate him

Their ECM solution, FileNet, is a well integrated, fully flexible ECM solution. IBM will be able to successfully sell FileNet through its extensive partner service channel and current leading positions in key vertical markets including its traditional financial services, insurance, banking and government markets. Weakness: However, IBM has two content management solutions, DB2 and FileNet and questions are beginning to arise as to whether IBM will be able to fully integrate them into a single, simply to use solution. As well, although FileNet does have strong integration, it is still not fully integrated with all of IBMââ¬â¢s software solutions creating havoc for current IBM customers. 2) EMC (Founded: 1979, Size: 38,600, Location: 176 South Street Hopkinton, MA 01748) Strength: EMC has been a consistent market leader in the ECM market leader.
